Congratulations to Cousin Tony and his baseball team for winning the State Championship!
We drove up to Phoenix this afternoon to cheer on Tony's team from Catalina High School in the State Championship. They were the 6 seed in the tournament and had previously beat the 2nd and 3rd ranked teams. Today they were against Thunderbird High School who was ranked #1. The game was a close, tied game until top of the 9th inning. Then Tony's teams' bats got hot and they scored 7 runs! It was very exciting. Thunderbird scored a few runs in the bottom of the 9th, but not enough to beat us. We were so excited to see Tony win his first state championship! It is pretty unique that we have two state champions in our family in the same year!
