Nursery construction

Daddy has always said that if we had a boy he would like to put wood flooring in the nursery and have it resemble a basketball court.  Today Daddy's dream became a reality.  After golf practice, we went to Home Depot to check out the wood flooring.  Nana and Grandpa joined us on our adventure.  Poppy met us at Home Depot while he was there to buy stuff and the next thing we knew we were buying all the necessities to lay down the wood flooring in the nursery.  Poppy and Grandpa left to get Poppy's tool trailer while we went home and started to move everything out of the nursery for the construction to begin.  Mommy and Caitlin couldnt move much so they were in charge of directing and supervising.  It didn't take long for Daddy, Grandpa, Poppy, and Caitlin to start ripping out the carpet.

After the carpet was removed, the wood flooring started to go in.  Mommy never thought all of this was going to happen in one day, but Poppy and Grandpa love projects and once they get the idea, the project gets done!  While the floowing was being laid, Allison came over to visit.  The girls found that the rolled up carpet makes a great balance beam.

By 10pm, the carpet was gone and the wood floor was laid.  The next day, Poppy and Granpda came over to put the molding and trim in the nursery.  When Mommy and Daddy came home from work they found the nursery pretty complete!  A BIG THANK YOU to Poppy and Grandpa for all the extra work they did to make Baby Benjamin's room perfect!  They even wiped down all the walls, blinds, fan, etc!

Here is a photo of the nursery!  Another valence will soon be hung and the wall decorations will soo be added.  After that all we need is Baby Ben to arrive!
